Expect the Best while You're Expecting is a book designed to inspire expectant mothers and to support them to "be with" all aspects of their pregnancy. The book (and the blog) share stories about women who handle challenges in an empowering way, powerfully process the thoughts and feelings that come up during pregnancy, AND who stay present to the miracle.
Amy Riley transforms the conversation about pregnancy from one about complaints and what’s wrong to one that’s about expecting the best, creating what you want and being present to the miracle! She encourages women to pay close attention to their thoughts, feelings and energy during their pregnancies and intentionally make choices that work best for them.
She creates a positive and empowering space to support women in:
Experiencing their pregnancies as miraculous gifts
Attracting exactly what they want during their pregnancies
Intentionally and audaciously asking for and receiving the support they desire
Getting ideas about and feeling empowered to make choices that work best for them (and know that there are many more choices than those they are initially presented)
Expecting their pregnancies to be great
The book is composed primarily of women's personal stories highlighting:
Unconventional choices that worked out perfectly
Shifting points of view and taking actions to have concerns disappear
Creating empowering contexts around setbacks or disappointments
Women deciding for themselves how their pregnancies will go
Amy is currently in the process of writing the book, and expects to publish it by the end of 2009.
